Doordeck, a pioneer of software-first NFC mobile access control, has entered into a strategic partnership with Tedee, a smart lock provider focused on residential and short term rental markets. This collaboration aims to revolutionise flexible access control to create the offering of scalable, self-install, and cost-effective smartphone NFC access control security for industry needs.
Doordeck provides Tedee with their secure cloud-based access control solution and open SDK. The Doordeck integration enables Tedee smart locks to be unlocked using smartphone NFC technology, in addition to secure Bluetooth technology. No new hardware is required to be installed, therefore providing a complete wireless NFC smart lock solution.
Doordeck’s open SDK integration with tenant experience apps also opens up the ability for Tedee smart locks to be controlled via NFC technology from a third party building experience application. Enabling a path into commercial office spaces for Tedee, with the ability to now cater to small to medium size businesses that have a proprietary building app.
Furthermore, the partnership unlocks improved visitor management capabilities for Tedee. Doordeck provides Tedee with time limited app-less visitor passes. Allowing guests to access their digital keys and unlock Tedee smart locks without having to download the Doordeck or Tedee mobile applications, a great solution for guests at short term-rentals with granted temporary access.
